Seems awkward. Unlike the soldier on the screen, you have to keep your eyes on a fixed point (the screen) as you turn your head.

yeah I'm not so sure about this business of your head behaving as a turret on top of your body, independent of the gun. Why can't you just aim everywhere you look? Has that worked out so badly in other games?

Would be nice to see how this works live, but not sure it's worth $150.

I'm not going to be able to play it anyway, since I only have a P4 3.4 HT processor.

The demo is 2.6 gig if anyone wants to try it out.

Aha, blast from the past. We are up to Arma 3 now and while some love it, the game is a mess on many systems. From true die hard players I hear it runs better on some older systems than it does on newer top of the line rigs. They blame the devs for poor optimization.

All I know is that on my rig (i7-5820K, GTX 1080, 32gb DDR4) I cant push 60fps @ 1080p with settings anywhere near maxed. Usually 35-45fps unless I stare at an empty sky.

And yes, I know 32gb is a stupid amount of RAM. But it was cheap so........

Sorry for waking up a dead thread but I have just recently been experimenting with this train wreck of a game.

Yeah, CPU intensive because optimization is a mess. 6700k is relatively tit for tat with 5820k in benchmarks. Arma still runs like crap if you are into twitch/arena style play. Also it is not a game you can just jump into and expect to have a lot of fun. Maybe I am just an old fart but it seemed like a very steep learning curve for a shooter that runs poorly on a strong rig. Then the need to buy DLC if you want to find active servers. But that is just my opinion.
