If that is the case, then this appears to be the same old problem that afflicts every 64-player BF4 server.

As I've posted in a reply yesterday on this thread, we've identified this particular issue as far back as November 2013. We noted lag to occur at around when fifty plus players were in the server. Back then, the server was in Dallas and it was with Gameservers. This current server is in Chicago and is under NFO.

I'll go ahead and make additional adjustments; let's hope we can still make a dent with the lag.

I've made some more adjustments in the hopes of reducing the lag. At this point, it's hard to determine what else can be done to reduce it. I even went so far as to see if RTR #1 has lag issues. Sure enough, I found a thread in their forums about lag issues on that server as well.

I do have a suspicion that the lag issues will dissipate by the second week of January, based on observations I've made over the last two years on every server we've deployed.

Either way, please keep up the feedback so that we can continually improve our playing environment in the server. If you want to be white listed to avoid being ping kicked, let myself or other DFM members know and we'll have you added to the whitelist.

64 player servers are usually the same...i think 48-50 is the perfect number to play (depends on the map of course)

I went over to Horsey's place and logged into his comp when the server got full.

His PC just meets minimum requirements for BF4 (Intel Core I3, 4GB DDR3 1333, Radeon 5670, Win7 64-bit home, etc).

I didn't experience any lag, although at least one player did complain about it.

Checked out every section of the map, flew in a helo, and rode an M1, and got into some firefights, but there was no lag for me, in spite of Horsey's basic rig.

It really sucks to read some folks have lag, while others don't.

Poo, I appreciate all the work you put into trying to get the server going brother. I can imagine it's a major pain in the ass so I don't blame you at all for pulling the plug.
